Bubbles
One of the coolest and most necessary parts of a quality theme is the type of bubbles that you use in them. If you would like to make bubbles yourself, and are already capable of making reasonable to quality bubbles (or follow the tutorial at the bottom), heres some information you may need to know:
Sidekick 08/Sidekick LX/Sidekick Slide - The selected bubble must be 68x68 pixels - The unselected bubbles must be 34x34 pixels - The empty bubbles must be 22x22 pixels - The back arrow [bubble] must be 22x22 pixels - The folder decoration must be 127x208 pixels | Sidekick 3 - The selected bubble must be 44x44 pixels - The unselected bubbles must be 24x24 pixels - The empty bubbles must be 12x12 pixels - The back arrow [bubble] must be 16x16 pixels - The folder decoration must be 103x138 pixels |
Another thing people don't use often, but certainly deserves to be used more for its awesome flow and the fact that it creates a more unique theme are zoom effects. Zoom effects are the effects that are presented when using the trackball to enter in and out of folders. If done correctly, it creates a smooth effect that adds a nice touch to a theme, as well as adds professionalism. Since you can't add in the zoom effects through the theme generator on the Themes Sites, you must add them in manually, and for that, you have to do the following things:
Place the following text into the theme text file at the very bottom:
bitmap ring-zoom-in-01 zoom-in1.png
bitmap ring-zoom-in-02 zoom-in2.png
bitmap ring-zoom-out-01 zoom-out1.png
bitmap ring-zoom-out-02 zoom-out2.png
Second off, you have to make each zoom effect part by part, 4 parts in all:
The first zoom in should be approximately 91x93 pixels, and be labelled zoom-in1.png (and look like this): ![]() | The second zoom in should be approximately 112x138 pixels, and be labelled zoom-in2.png (and look like this): ![]() |
The first zoom out should be approximately 91x93 pixels, and be labelled zoom-out1.png (and look like this): ![]() | The second zoom out should be approximately 38x39 pixels, and be labelled zoom-out2.png (and look like this): ![]() |

If you have a custom theme that is completely perfect except for the fact that you don't have the bubbles to throw into it, we will supply you bubbles of all types that YOU can USE for FREE, with the allowance of terms and conditions of use for each specific type of bubbles. Feel free to take any of these bubbles and use them in all of your themes, or just a few of them. As long as you properly credit the people that have made the bubbles, you are free to use them. This is important that you credit the bubble makers, because they put their time and effort in to supplying these bubbles for FREE, and all that they ask is for a small credit. Thank you for your cooperation, and start downloading!
(Any bubbles you would like to submit to us? Drop us an email!)
How to credit an artist
That is the proper way of crediting someone's bubbles for your themes.
Open up your theme text file, and somewhere towards the top of the text, with coding using #, you will enter something like this -

Bubbles: Clear
Website: www.injun.org
Terms of Use: Please place a credit in your theme text file to 'prash' or 'www.injun.org' for anyone that uses these!
